The Secret to Higher Compensation

I have discovered over my 30-year career working with people in the workplace, that about 88% of those in their current employment are not satisfied and would leave for a better opportunity if only thy could find one. Among the top reasons for this dissatisfaction is compensation. It should come as no surprise to many of you that most people believe they are worth more than they are currently getting paid. What most people do not realize, is that compensation is tied to a LAW (a natural law that is) and there can be no alteration to what a law provides. In other words, when obedience to a law occurs and benefit or fixed result must be the consequence. So to put it candidly, you are earning exactly what you deserve! To earn more than you are currently receiving, you must be obedient to the first principle of compensation and that is “YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.” You cannot change “law” whether you accept it or not – believe it or not does not matter. Metaphorically, You will receive what you plant or put out. If you want a bigger crop you need space to plant and you must plant many seeds and care for the fields, and plant in the appropriate season. As you labor to prepare and care for your crops, you will receive in abundance what you give to it. In addition, be mindful that your compensation will be in direct proportion to THE NEED FOR WHAT YOU DO, YOUR ABILITY TO DO IT, AND THE DIFFICULTY THERE IS IN REPLACING YOU. Your compensation does not come from your current company, but rather through your current company. If you out grow what your current company is offering you, then by law you must move forward. Either your current company will pay you more or another company that is in need of your services will. Believe it or not, it doesn’t matter to me, but I can tell you this is the key to how many people (not you so far) have discovered how to make more income. Just try it and see how it works.
