Julie Ann Velasquez — Biography

Julie Ann Velasquez is a rising Filipino music star whose journey began in Cebu, Philippines. Born and raised in Cebu, Julie Ann discovered her love for music at a very young age and has been singing and performing throughout her life.

She has participated in several singing competitions, earning recognition as the winner of “Young Filipino Stars” and “Cebu’s Got Talent.” Her powerful voice and natural stage presence have taken her to stages throughout the Philippines, where she has performed alongside and in events featuring some of the country’s leading artists.

Julie Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Brown Academy of Music in Cebu and later shared her passion for music as a teacher at a local high school.

Her career took an exciting turn when she caught the attention of Victor Midgley, an American lyricist and music producer, while performing at an event featuring Sarah Geronimo and other prominent Filipino artists. Recognizing her talent and potential, Victor and Julie Ann began a creative collaboration that resulted in her debut album.

Julie Ann’s first album produced six number-one hits and sold more than one million copies, quickly establishing her as a favorite among music fans throughout the Philippines. Her distinctive voice, heartfelt performances, and genuine connection with her audience have continued to fuel her growing popularity.

Today, Julie Ann Velasquez is working with Victor Midgley on her highly anticipated second album, continuing a musical journey that brings together Filipino talent and international songwriting and production.
